We say "basically" because the 3 minor Flaws that we found that are unobtrusive to the excellent appearance of this Window Card. They were found by very close inspection under bright light. There is a very faint line (1") to the left of the handgun in the man's hand. There is a faint scrap (1/4") nearer the bottom below the "LL" in "LLOYD"; and can only be seen viewing at an angle with bright light. There is a small (1/16") spec nearer the bottom to the right of the "N" in "BACON". There are no pin holes, no tears, and no tape or tape residue. There is no soiling or smudging. There is no loss of color or paper. The Window Card has a low to medium gloss. The Window Card is on Cardstock which is similar to medium stock paper. A beautiful Window Card. Please review the photos carefully.

Description

This is the Original (1sh) 1929 Window Card
STARK MAD
.  It was used by
Warner Brothers
to promote this movie when it was released in 1929.  It is not a reprint nor a reproduction.  The movie stars
H.B. Warner, Louise Fazenda, Jacqueline Logan
, Henry B. Walthall, Claude Gillingwater, and John Miljan. It was directed by Lloyd Bacon.
This restored Window Card comes Flat, and measures 14″ x 22″.
This original Window Card is graded C8.5 Very Fine to Near Mint.
Original movie posters are graded as follows from the top down: C10 (Mint), C9 (Near Mint), C8 (Very Fine), C7 (Fine/Very Fine), C6 (Fine or Very Good), C5 (Good to Very Good), etc.
Prior to restoration, this Window Card was graded a C6 Fine.  Restoration corrected wear marks in the Image area (the image area is the 6″ or so at the top of the Window Card where Theaters could write or print in their Theatre name and show times of the movie), minor paper loss, and touch up along the left side where there are the portrait images.  The borders have also been airbrushed.
This Window Card now displays beautifully.  The few, three, minor flaws described above are unobtrusive (i.e. not readily noticeable) to the excellent image of the Window Card, even at relatively close viewing distance.
We feel that the original 1929 Window Card
STARK MAD
has very good investment value.  The value of this item would be – to a certain extent – gauged by the value of its companion One Sheet )27″ x 41″) which
IGUIDE
values at  approximately between $1,600 to $4,000.  And for such an old movie memorabilia item to be in such excellent condition is rare, albeit that restoration has helped to make this excellent grade possible.
We ship using USPS Priority Mail, which for Domestic buyers arrives in 1 to 3 business days.  Both Domestic and International buyers can go to the “See Details” link on this listing across from the Shipping information to determine shipping cost, delivery method, and time to arrive.  However, USPS Media Mail cannot be used for movie posters according to USPS regulations.
If you have any questions, please let me know.  I have been collecting original movie posters for over 40 years and therefore understand the trust and honesty expected when purchasing original movie posters.  I do not waiver from that standard.  The photos are of the actual item you will be buying.  We do  not use “stock” photos.  The item you see is the item you will receive.    If you are not 100% satisfied, we guarantee a full refund.  No problem.
Thanks for taking a look.  I have a number of other original movie posters listed and generally we are listing new items each week.
